Map & Programme

More Details

A full list of activities on offer can be found on the map, running from 10am – 4pm with a pause between 12.30-1pm for instructed activities. Activities on offer are subject to change – any changes will be updated on the map and programme.

With many activities on offer, there is a wide selection of activities for all age ranges. Some activities are more appropriate to younger/older participants but there’s something for everyone! We recommend splitting into smaller groups to avoid large queues – we do require each group to have a leader, subject to your risk assessment.

Woodhouse Park will manage instructed activities, but each group will need to provide one or two leaders to help supervise self-led activities – please take this into account when considering ratios and your risk assessment.

A copy of our instructed activity risk assessments, and self-led activity guidance are available here. Please note we do not provide risk assessments for self-led activities.

Check-in opens at 9am. A representative of each group/unit should check in at the shop, to collect their wristbands.

Event tickets are non-refundable, meaning the number of tickets cannot be reduced once booked. We recommend booking the minimum number of tickets you expect to need and getting in touch to increase the number of attendees if needed.

Young Leaders can attend the event but must have a participant ticket.

Leader’s children are welcome to come to the event but must have a participant ticket unless they are under four years old.

We can provide an invoice for groups/units unable to pay online – please get in touch and let us know.

There is a shop on site by the main entrance. We recommend young people bring £10 to spend in the shop. The shop has a varied selection of toys & games, badges, woggles, woodhouse park memorabilia, drinks, pastries, ice creams, snacks and sweets. We accept cash & card.

Groups and units are welcome to bring a gazebo for use on the day.

We cannot provide access to a fridge/freezer, unless you have booked accommodation. Power is available at various points across the centre for leaders to charge mobile phones.

See the event map for the location of all our carparks. Please use the main reception carpark if you may need to leave the site during the event, and for drop-off/collection.

Woodhouse Park is a scout centre owned and managed by Avon Scouts, we follow the Scout’s safeguarding guidance and yellow card. Every leader attending the event is given a copy of the yellow card.

Leaders attending the event must follow the rules of their organisation, which usually includes the requirement for a DBS check and/or training.

All attendees must wear a wristband throughout the event, and they may be asked to show this at any time.

A WhatsApp community will be running during the event, which we encourage a leader from each group to join.

This will be used for any announcements from our team, such as changes to the programme or activities.

Volunteer Staff

This event would not be possible without our amazing team of volunteer staff. There will be a wide range or roles available, from running activities, or the shop, traffic management, site services, staff catering, or even taking photos and videos and updating our social media. If you would like to help for the weekend (or just part of it) please book in and let us know if you would like to do a specific role. Feel free to contact us if you have questions about anything.
