Woodhouse Park

Really great place for the kids. Just been to an 8th birthday party there and despite the heavy rain, thunder and lightening, the kids all enjoyed themselves. They did outdoor shelter building in the woods, archery and axe throwing (all age appropriate stuff). Food was provided and ranged from chicken nuggets, hot dogs and ice cream sundaes. Definitely recommend !

It was an amazing weekend, the staff were all spot on, we booked the training centre which had absolutely everything we needed for the week. I am already starting to plan next years visit.

My beaver scouts had a brilliant time. Would highly recommend (particularly enjoyed the adventure course!)

We hosted my daughter's 9th birthday party at Woodhouse. They did crate-stacking and were all thoroughly engaged throughout the whole hour. We were Ble to discuss the afternoon's plans with the instructor, Lake, who listened and responded to what we needed and was flexible with a late arrival! The kids loved the adventure playground but be warned- bring towels and changes of clothes! Despite near-drought conditions, it was muddy

A massive thank you to Andy and the team at Woodhouse. Just spent the weekend there with my scout and Cubs units our district took over the entire place. The children had the best time they could possibly have. There was so many activities to do and everything was so well equipped it was difficult to choose. This is the second time I’ve stayed at Woodhouse in the last couple of years. Amazing to see the amount of additional effort that has been put into making this an amazing place for young people. I personally appreciated the new adult only showers. It was a very pleasant place to discover that the showers were lovely and hot very quickly. The on-site shop is very well equipped and is definitely a great place to buy a souvenir or a knickknack. It is a very easy to see how much love and effort has been put into making this the place that it is. Lots of brand-new equipment and facilities and also some up cycling of old lockers et cetera the introduction of the converted buses will definitely be on my list for exploration next time. I finished by saying you should definitely check out the Woodhouse website and have a look at the upcoming activities if we’re not back in September with the Cubs then we will be definitely be back at Christmas for the Santa trail.

Bailey was managing the rifle range when we arrived with 7 beaver scouts. All I can say is this young man went above and beyond to explain and include these youngsters into a difficult activity which they completed with big grins on their faces an awesome experience as part of an amazing event
