Squirrels Birthday Bash Adventure Day

DetailsWe’ll be running lots of activities aimed at squirrels and others age 4-6, including a circus skills base, low ropes, soft archery & soft tomahawks, and more! Bring a packed lunch to share with the friends you make on the day!
We are celebrating 5 years of Squirrels!
This event is also open to members of Girlguiding.
Cost£15 per young person, plus any additional charge by groups to cover catering, transport, etc.
£5 per adult.

A copy of our self-led activity guidance is available here. Please note we do not provide risk assessments for self-led activities.

Event tickets are non-refundable, meaning the number of tickets cannot be reduced once booked. We recommend booking the minimum number of tickets you expect to need and getting in touch to increase the number of attendees if needed.

Leader’s children are welcome to come to the event but must have a participant ticket unless they are under four years old.

We can provide an invoice for groups/units unable to pay online – please get in touch and let us know.

Check-in opens at 10.30am. A representative of each group/unit should check in at the shop, to collect their wristbands.

There is a shop on site by the main entrance. We recommend young people bring £10 to spend in the shop. The shop has a varied selection of toys & games, badges, woggles, Woodhouse Park memorabilia, drinks, pastries, ice creams, snacks and sweets.

We cannot provide access to a fridge/freezer, unless you have booked accommodation. Power is available at various points across the centre for leaders to charge mobile phones.

Woodhouse Park is a scout centre owned and managed by Avon Scouts, we follow the Scout’s safeguarding guidance and yellow card. Every leader attending the event is given a copy of the yellow card.

Leaders attending the event must follow the rules of their organisation, which usually includes the requirement for a DBS check and/or training.

All leaders and participants at the event will be asked to wear an event wristband throughout the event. This may be asked to show this at any point during the event.

This is a joint event with Beavers- please feel free to make your day shorter by arriving later or leaving earlier – as we understand 10am-4pm is a long day for Squirrels.
There is a squirrel only event on 19th September 2027.

Booking Policy

Payment is due for all bookings 28 days before the event – bookings which are still due at this point may be cancelled. Please note all event bookings and spaces are non-refundable.

Filming and Photography

Please note that our media team will be taking photos, videos and audio recordings throughout the event, which may be used for social media and marketing purposes.

Volunteer Staff

This event would not be possible without our amazing team of volunteer staff. There will be a wide range or roles available, from running activities, or the shop, traffic management, site services, staff catering, or even taking photos and videos and updating our social media. If you would like to help for the weekend (or just part of it) please book in and let us know if you would like to do a specific role. Feel free to contact us if you have questions about anything.
