We are looking to build a team of Volunteer Instructors to help us to bring adventurous activities to visitors to Woodhouse Park. Remember many hands make light work, we are not looking for volunteers to commit to hours of sessions each (unless of course you want to).

This includes the current facilities (archery, tomahawk throwing and rifle shooting) and developing future provision (climbing, high ropes, new ideas being developed)

Activity Instructors are responsible for running sessions with the groups on site- this ranges from Scouts, Guides, Youth Groups and Schools. They can also help maintain equipment and support with maintenance of activity areas.

Activity sessions are usually run for a maximum of 12 participants, in 1.5 hour times slots- 9.30 – 11, 11-12.30, 1.30-3, 3-4.30 and in the summer months evening sessions 5.30-7 and 7-8.30.

In addition we run activities at events throughout the year so there is ample opportunity to get involved in these.

Throughout the year we will arrange training and social events, along with being able to renew Scout permits and develop instructing and coaching skills within our team.

If you already hold any activity qualifications or scout permits, or you would like to start on your journey of becoming an instructor, please send your details, including any particular interests, qualifications or skills to alex.bolton@avonscouts.org.uk
