Designed to encourage problem solving, balance and communication. Our purpose-built low ropes course is less than one metre off the ground, so it’s ideal as an activity on its own, or great for building up confidence before tackling some of our higher activities.

Try out our giant seesaw – all the team need to do is balance it out, but it’s not as simple as you think.

Frequently Asked Questions

For your own safety:

  • wear comfortable clothing suitable for climbing – preferably trousers or long shorts and no bare midriffs.
  • wear sensible footwear – trainers are ideal, no flip flops/crocs or open toed shoes
  • remove jewellery.
  • tie back long hair.
  • empty pockets

Dogs are welcome, where necessary, but must be kept on a lead at all times.

There is a maximum weight of 115 kilos or 18 stone for any harnessed activity, and a minimum height of 1.2m for the ariel trek.

Refreshments are available during your visit in reception.

Instructors with a national governing body qualification, or relevant scout permit can run tower activities at Woodhouse Park, following a safety induction from a member of our team.

Dependent upon the activity, relevant qualifications include:

  • Mountain Training – Climbing Wall Instructor or Higher
  • Scout Permit – Artificial Top Rope (Leadership) or Higher
  • ERCA – Traditional High Ropes Instructor

Please note Woodhouse Park may allocate a member of staff to observe some or all of your session.

Our tower activities operate in all weathers, except for extreme winds and lightning, so please ensure your group has suitable clothing.

We do not provide storage for valuables or personal belongings, and recommend leaving them at home, or leaving them with a leader or friend who is not taking part in the activity.

Start of Session

Just before the start of your session, go to Reception and you will be given the helmets. Please return this to Reception after your session. When you finish your session, please ensure the barriers are put across the entrance to the high rope activities area.
