This page contains downloadable risk assessments for our Instructed Activities.

At Woodhouse Park Activity Centre all our instructors both staff paid or volunteers follow the centre policy’s regarding health and safety and hold official Scout Activity Permits where necessary, in addition they hold or are working towards National Governing Body Qualifications (NGB’s) . They all undertake regular observations and additional training as well as keeping up to date with any changes implemented by Scouting POR, or NGB’s. In addition we work closely with Girlguiding to ensure where possible all activities are covered by their opp orating guidelines.

The centre is not required to be registered with Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA) as it does not offer any activities that fall under the registration scheme guidance.

If you are running self-led activities you are responsible for the safety of the group including completing a Risk Assessment. You will find Self-Led Activity Guidance below. Additional help on writing your own risk assessments can be found at https://www.scouts.org.uk/volunteers/staying-safe-and-safeguarding/risk-assessments/
